Your First Visit
During your initial appointment:
A full clinical examination is completed
We assess whether orthodontic treatment is required
There is no obligation to proceed with treatment
Diagnostic Records & Treatment Planning
If you choose to continue, diagnostic records are required. These may be taken during your first visit or at a second appointment.
Records include:
Digital X-rays
3D mouth scans
Clinical photographs
Once completed:
A personalised treatment plan is prepared, and
A detailed quote is emailed to you
The financial report may be submitted to your medical aid for consideration.
Please note:
This practice does not submit accounts to medical aids. Submission and follow-up remain the patient’s responsibility.

3a. Normal Active Orthodontic Treatment
The cost depends on the complexity and duration of treatment.
Estimated range:

3b. Lingual Braces
(Braces placed behind the teeth — not suitable for children)

3c. Single Arch Treatment (8869)

Payment Example
Treatment cost: R46,000
Initial payment (20%):
R9,200 — payable on the day treatment starts
Balance:
R36,800 payable over 18 monthly instalments
(18 × R2,044.44)
Monthly payments are charged regardless of visit frequency.
4. Retention Phase
Retainers are required after treatment to maintain results.
Estimated cost: ± R5,600
Charged on the day the braces are removed.
Additional Costs
• Infection control fee: 2xR44.00=R88 per visit
• Missed appointments: R536.00
• Six ceramic front brackets (if required): R4,410.00
